Position Overview:
The Video Editor will be responsible for creating visually captivating video content that showcases our jewellery collections, brand messages, and marketing campaigns. You will work closely with the marketing and creative teams to produce high-quality videos for various digital platforms, including our website, social media, online ads, and promotional events.
Key Responsibilities:
Video Production and Editing:
- Edit raw video footage to produce polished, high-quality video content that aligns with the brand's aesthetics and storytelling goals.
- Work on different types of videos such as product showcases, behind-the-scenes, tutorials, promotional videos, and customer testimonials.
- Apply special effects, sound design, colour grading, and motion graphics to enhance the visual appeal of videos.
Creative Collaboration:
- Collaborate with the creative team, including designers, photographers, and marketing staff, to understand the vision for video projects.
- Provide input and creative ideas for video content based on trends, brand values, and audience engagement.
Asset Management:
- Organize and maintain a library of video footage, sound, and graphic assets for future use.
- Ensure all video assets are properly archived and accessible to the team.
Adherence to Brand Guidelines:
- Ensure that all video content maintains a consistent visual and thematic approach that reflects the brand’s identity and high standards.
- Work within specified deadlines and deliver videos on time.
Optimizing Video Content for Multiple Platforms:
- Edit videos for different platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, and the company website, adjusting the aspect ratio and length as needed.
- Adapt video content for ads, campaigns, and e-commerce platforms to maximize engagement and drive sales.
Post-production tasks:
- Work with sound engineers, voice-over artists, or other team members to enhance the overall audio-visual quality of the content.
- Maintain high-quality production standards, ensuring videos are optimized for online performance (loading times, resolution, etc.).
Qualification:
- Proven experience as a video editor, ideally with a focus on luxury brands, fashion, or the jewellery industry.
- Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, After Effects, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of visual storytelling, pacing, and the ability to bring out the best qualities in jewellery products through video.
- Experience with colour grading, audio mixing, and motion graphics.
- Familiarity with social media platforms and the best practices for creating engaging content for each (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, etc.).
- A keen eye for detail and the ability to work with high-resolution imagery.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- A passion for jewellery and a deep understanding of the luxury market is a plus.
